linux-mint-logoWe primarily support Microsoft Windows as do must other computer companies. The reasons are simple, every software title we know about runs on Windows, Windows runs on probably 80% of the worlds computers and most of us started out using some form of Windows. But, the tables are starting to turn even if only slightly. Linux, an operating system that has been around for years, is picking up speed.

ubuntu-logo112There are at least a couple of versions of Linux that are becoming very user friendly. While Linux has been traditionally thought of by people as a hackers operating system, there are a couple companies that are trying to make it good for the rest of us.

There are many reasons to try Linux:

  • There is an app to do almost anything Windows will do.
  • It runs on older, slower computers.
  • Open Office runs on and is included with most distributions.
  • Viruses and spyware are targeted to Windows.
  • Perfect operating system for kids computers that only check email and browse Facebook.
  • Linux is free.
  • When setup properly Linux is much more stable and secure than any version of Windows.

At this time we provide only limited support for Linux but in certain circumstances we do recommend you give it a try. After all, it’s free and there is minimum cost for us to install it for you.
